Surprise Schools

If you have (or will have) school-age children, I know school quality is important to you! You may even base your home search around the local schools. Fortunately, the city features a top-ranked public school district and also offers excellent opportunities for charter-school and postsecondary education.

Public Schools

The City of Surprise is part of the Dysart Unified School District, which recently earned an “A” ranking from the Arizona Department of Education. Each address is assigned to an elementary and a secondary school, with open enrollment available for students who would like to change schools.

Step 1: Find Your Home School

See a house you love? Search the assigned public schools by address or search the boundaries map.

You may also browse a list of Surprise public schools, including address and phone number, achievement score, and school and office hours.

Step 2: See Your School’s Scores

Find out how that school’s achievement profile measures up to state standards and to other schools in the district.

Step 3: Explore Your School’s Demographics

Sometimes choosing the right school means looking beyond academic performance. For more information about Dysart schools, including total student enrollment, student-teacher ratios, and enrollment demographics, search the National Center for Education Statistics.

Online Education

Dysart Unified School District’s online iSchool allows high school students to study subjects that may not be available at their local school. The iSchool is a fully integrated part of the school district, with the same commitment to quality, so that the grades earned in iSchool classes will easily transfer to a student’s local academic record.
